Are you ready to start advocating for your child?
Beyond Special Education provides support and information that enable you to become your child’s best advocate. As a special education consultant, I can help you make educational recommendations and/or provide training for you for upcoming IEP meetings.
I offer services in person (if you are in the New Jersey/New York area), over the phone and via Skype or FaceTime.
Services and Trainings
Do you have specific IEP questions? Do you need a review of your child’s IEP? Do you need assistance in developing questions to ask the IEP team? This is for parents who do not need ongoing advocacy services but need to be pointed in the right direction with the development of their child’s IEP. This includes a 60-minute session, Advocacy Action Plan to follow and a follow up 15-minute session. This does not include attendance at IEP meetings. Click here to learn more about an IEP Review.
Special Needs Parent Coaching
It is my belief that special needs parents are doing the best they can in any given moment, but special needs parenting comes with a lot of challenges. For many special needs parents, this can cause a lot of fatigue, anxiety and sadness in their families and relationships. Additionally, many of these parents feel that they have no one to talk. Special needs parent coaching helps to improve the quality of your relationships with your children and family, while providing the support and help you need. Click here to learn more.
Parent Trainings, Presentations, and Workshops
I provide parent trainings, presentations and workshops for parents or anyone working with special needs children. I offer a variety of trainings, presentations and workshops for teachers and school administrators, parent groups, and churches. Click here to learn more.
Educational and Transition Planning
Going through the special education process can be hard, so do not do it alone. I will help you through the process of developing an appropriate individual educational plan (IEP) for your child and assist in reviewing your child’s IEP each year. Click here to learn more.
